Fairview, TN is part of the Nashville metropolitan area and located in Williamson County. It was incorporated in 1959 and its city limits are approximately one mile southwest of the Nashville-Davidson County line. Fairview is home to Bowie Nature Park, one of the largest city-managed Parks in the state of Tennessee, as well as Fairview High School, which was named one of the Top 1000 high schools in the US according to Newsweek Magazine. Fairview’s elevation also situated approximately 150 feet higher than Nashville, giving the town beautiful views and the benefit of being less flood prone. In addition, Fairview is home to Camp Marymount, a retreat and summer camp that was the location of the camp scenes filmed in the movie Ernest Goes to Camp. Residents of Fairview also have easy access into Nashville, as it is a short 25 miles from downtown with easy access to I-40 and is located along State Highway 100 in the northwest section of the county.
